Facebook Hates Dogs Too

You may remember that in August 2009 Facebook deleted my account. I blogged it as Facebook Hates Cats. I contacted The Facebook Team and Jasmin told me:

According to our Terms of Use, Facebook profiles are intended for personal use by people over the age of 13 only.

Well, it turns out that Facebook Hates Dogs too. My friend Sydpie's account was deleted and she's very upset about it. She blogged the experience as I've Been Evicted By Facebook.

Anipals and Facebook furends, please make sure you keep a backup of your photos and links just in case. Da lady had copies of all my photos but hasn't found all my Facebook furends yet and my linkys are gone. I don't believe Facebook is combing through accounts looking for animals but if something (or someone) draws their attention to your account it will be deleted. Hint: Someone complained about my groundhog day post and got them to block me from importing it. Ask me how I got around it. MOL!!!

So if you get deleted you have a couple of options.

• Your mom can add your profile to dogbook, catbook or rodentbook. She might want to start it now.
• Your mom can create a Fan page. This is mine:

• Join General Napoleon Buonaparte's Army des Animals for notifications of your friends' victorious returns to Facebook. Viva le resistance!

The BEST part of all this NOT! is that I can still look at my deleted account through da lady's cell phone Facebook app. I think that means they kept my photos for their own use. sulk sulk sulk

Breezy Cat to Facebook Sep 3

I see. You realize, of course, that I used Facebook more than my human does? It doesn't make good business sense to delete my account. She helps me type, and she DOES click on advertisements, much to my irritation.

The problem with Catbook is that I can't comment directly on furiends walls or photos. The lady has to do it for me. It's rather degrading, especially when I want to post flirts to a female cat. It's also difficult to search Catbook for furends, it seems the lady has to friend their humans first. She really doesn't want to share her information with people she doesn't know just so I can talk to their pets.

MyCatSpace works a lot better than CatBook. There was an anipal community on Ning but it isn't working. However, none of those options works as well as Facebook. For one thing, neither of them offer English (Pirate) as a language option.

The second best option would be a fursbook site using the same content management system as Facebook. Since it isn't available I'm using Blogger and Twitter now. *They* don't discriminate on the basis of species. May Ceiling Cat have mercy on you.

The Duckie Club

I haz a duck!

When I first came to live here I tried to play with the grumpy old sisfurcats but they gotz all upset. So the lady bought me a ducky.

I love my ducky. Sometimes we wrassle like in this picture taken when I was a few months old.


And sometimes we take a nap like in this picture from a few weeks ago.


When I joined Twitter (@kittehboi) earlier this year I met all kinds of anipals. Many of them have duckies. Some of them, like my furiend @GeorgetheDuck, are duckies!

Back in August somebody told me about The Duckie Club, where there is a video of anipals and their duckies. It sounded like great fun, but my ducky didn't have a name yet!

Today I finally thought of a name for my ducky. His name is Sir Francis Duck, @SirFrancisDuck on Twitter.

Best of all, @BorisKitty and @ShawneeShep got me set up in @Manxington's #DuckyClub. I am so proud to be a member.

@SirFrancisDuck asked me to tell you that he is a Hartz Nature'S Collection Bird and is a dog toy. Da neighbor's dog has the same duck and carries him everywhere.
