Make Your Own #AnipalEmoBand CD Art

Start Your Own #AnipalEmoBand. Use random stuff from teh internets to name your emo band, name your first album and pick the cover art.

Translation: album = music CD.

Dis how to do it:

1. Get a random article from Wikipedia. The name of the first random article is the name of your emo band.
2. Then go to Quotationspage.com Random Quotations. The last four or five words of the very last quote of the page is the title of your first emo band's album.
3. Then, go to Flickr and Explore the Last Seven Days. The third picture, no matter what it is, is your first emo album cover. Download it to your computer.
4. Upload the flickr photo to the I Can Haz Cheezburger Builder, write the emo band name and album title on your photo.
5. Leave the link as a comment on this post.

Want to get fancy?
Instead of using cheezburger,

• Optionally, go to fontspace.com Random Font and generate album cover text using the first random font.
• Using your favorite image editor, make the picture into an album cover and upload it to a photo sharing site like MobyPicture.
• Post a link on this thread. Mobypicture gives you code to share on other websites.

B&N nook (kindle too!)

Purrr da lady did get a Nook Simple Touch wif Glowlight from Barnes & Noble. She bought some books and magazines den went searching for free books on da innerwebs.

Do you haz a nook too? Invite da lady with your nook and we can become Nook friends and lend each other books.

"Wut?" you says. YES YES YES! If you invite other nook owners by da email address dey gave B&N you can be speshul nook friends and even borrow books!



Dis how to find furends on Simple Touch Nook. YMMV. Remember nook has to be connected to wireless or mobile data to communicate with B&N.

1. Press nook hard key. A menu should pop up at bottom of screen.
2. Press rightmost softkey, Settings. A list of settings categories appears.
3. Press Social softkey. Another menu appears.
4. Press Link to Facebook, Twitter and Google softkey. Sign in to your social sites to get some friends.
5. From Social screen you can also invite friends by the email address they used to sign in to the B&N site.
6. From Social Screen you can also set options to share books and to block individual books from prying eyes.

Da nook reads pdf and ePub plus images in jpg, gif, png and bmp.

"Sideload" means transfer files between your puter and da nook. You can sideload backgrounds, screensavers and ebooks you downloads from da web. Dis my favrit sites to find Free ebooks.
Update 6/27/2012:
To sideload, connect the nook to your computer with the USB cable. Wait a couple of minutes while it recognizes the device, finds driver, then tells you it connected. Now dat nook looks like a hard drive! Look for a folder named "books," dat where you put pdfs and epubs.

Screensavers is da authors whose dour visages appear when da nook goes to sleep. Get more nook screen savers from da innerwebs from sites like nook-look "Where your nook gets its attitude on." Oh oh oh da lady say she making 800x600 screensavers wif da GIMP just for my nook furends. Download, unzip, and "sideload" entire folder to dat screensaver directory. Choose Screen option under Settings to choose a set of screensavers.

It possible dat Amazon Kindle can read pdf, epub, lit plus mobi, but I can't say cuz I neber seen one. Books for either nook or kindle are encrypted but nook ebooks are supposedly easier to crack because of a weaker encryption algorithm.
