You steps out of your car into a hot parking lot. In da car next to yours is a big happy goggie. 'Cept he lookin really sad cuz it ~~hot~~ in dat car. What do you do?

Hoomans, we has to tell you every year. Please don't leave pets or children in the car on a summer day. "But I cracked the window," you say. IT NOT GOOD ENOUGH. "But I was only in the store for a few minutes," you say. IT NOT GOOD ENOUGH. "But I parked in the shade," you say. NOT EFFING GOOD ENOUGH!!

Whenever I hear the name Belfast

I remember Lennox.

Purrrr I bin heering bout dis breed specific legislation (BSL).

Poor Lennox was kept in isolation for over TWO years in deplorable conditions because the United Kingdom has decided that the phrase "dangerous dog" refers not only to certain behaviors, but even to certain breeds. Read a list of Dogs that are banned in the UK. To make it worse, dogs only have to vaguely resemble banned breeds to be subject to seizure and destruction.

Lennox's family exhausted all legal recourse. The case went to the high court and the judge said to kill the dog. Euthanization - likely by the same individuals who have been neglecting Lennox for the last two years - occurred this morning. His body likely shows the neglect and abuse. Don't count on the Barnes family getting to bury their baby.

Two major dog trainers, Cesar Millan and Victoria Stilwell, offered to take Lennox completely out of the UK and rehome him. The Belfast City Council wouldn't cooperate - they just wanted to kill Lennox. The BCC has an axe to grind, that's for sure, but for the life of me I don't know what it is. I can only HOPE they aren't taking a stand against service animals for children.

BSL MUST be replaced with intelligent laws pertaining to obedience training, to behavioral interventions, and to prosecuting irresponsible owners.

Dog trainer and celebrity Victoria Stilwell has taken a stand against Breed Specific Legislation. Let's give her our support.

I will not rest until the Dangerous Dogs Act is changed. It is a highly flawed piece of legislation doomed to fail right from the start and targets innocent dogs and families. It does not protect the public from dangerous dogs. I and thousands like me are going to work hard to get the law changed. I have helped shape the recently passed Responsible Dog Owner Law in the State of Georgia, USA. The new law puts the emphasis on owner irresponsibility rather than targeting any particular dog. Hold owners accountable and enforce tough laws on those who abuse them. We can do the same in Britain and other American states. This will make people a lot safer from all dangerous dogs regardless of breed than the DDA and will only prosecute the guilty while protecting the innocent.

B&N nook (kindle too!)

Purrr da lady did get a Nook Simple Touch wif Glowlight from Barnes & Noble. She bought some books and magazines den went searching for free books on da innerwebs.

Do you haz a nook too? Invite da lady with your nook and we can become Nook friends and lend each other books.

"Wut?" you says. YES YES YES! If you invite other nook owners by da email address dey gave B&N you can be speshul nook friends and even borrow books!



Dis how to find furends on Simple Touch Nook. YMMV. Remember nook has to be connected to wireless or mobile data to communicate with B&N.

1. Press nook hard key. A menu should pop up at bottom of screen.
2. Press rightmost softkey, Settings. A list of settings categories appears.
3. Press Social softkey. Another menu appears.
4. Press Link to Facebook, Twitter and Google softkey. Sign in to your social sites to get some friends.
5. From Social screen you can also invite friends by the email address they used to sign in to the B&N site.
6. From Social Screen you can also set options to share books and to block individual books from prying eyes.

Da nook reads pdf and ePub plus images in jpg, gif, png and bmp.

"Sideload" means transfer files between your puter and da nook. You can sideload backgrounds, screensavers and ebooks you downloads from da web. Dis my favrit sites to find Free ebooks.
Update 6/27/2012:
To sideload, connect the nook to your computer with the USB cable. Wait a couple of minutes while it recognizes the device, finds driver, then tells you it connected. Now dat nook looks like a hard drive! Look for a folder named "books," dat where you put pdfs and epubs.

Screensavers is da authors whose dour visages appear when da nook goes to sleep. Get more nook screen savers from da innerwebs from sites like nook-look "Where your nook gets its attitude on." Oh oh oh da lady say she making 800x600 screensavers wif da GIMP just for my nook furends. Download, unzip, and "sideload" entire folder to dat screensaver directory. Choose Screen option under Settings to choose a set of screensavers.

It possible dat Amazon Kindle can read pdf, epub, lit plus mobi, but I can't say cuz I neber seen one. Books for either nook or kindle are encrypted but nook ebooks are supposedly easier to crack because of a weaker encryption algorithm.
