Dis a beautiful poem dedicated to da pretty doggy Laika, da first Russian Cosmonaut. Da story is bery sad cuz da trainer did love her, but da space capsule didn't include a way to bring her home. Her little body continued to orbit for several months, then she did become a shooting star.

so first the dog honest mongrel
which has never abandoned us
dreaming of earthly lamps and bones
will fall asleep in its whirling kennel
